Getting Clear
Apr 27, 2023Brene Brown says, "Clear is kind."
What does that even mean?
Let me ask you, how often do you find yourself clarifying questions, directions, and processes for your team?
If you’re anything like me, this becomes frustrating after the umpteenth time you’ve been asked to clarify something.
Being clear applies to everything we do when we have expectations/goals/processes for our team.
When you write it down, it becomes real. But sometimes, there are still so many edits that "what I mean" and "what you understood it to mean" are two different things. Then there are often still questions about it so you know that it needs more clarity. So we add to it, edit it, and keep going until anyone who reads it can understand and execute the process or task.
Lately, we have been working with dental teams in creating clear job descriptions, protocols, and employee handbooks.
These stood out to be the most vague among dental teams.
Ever heard of spring cleaning? It’s the perfect time to “clean” out those old processes and get clear on the new process!
This spring we are challenging you to meet with your team, list out the processes that still cause questions and concerns, and work on clarifying them!
I promise, there is a way to eliminate stress in the workplace!
